Otago Peninsula - Natures Wonders Eco Wildlife Tour
The remote beaches at Natures Wonders are a breeding ground for remarkable wildlife. This coach tour takes you across farmland to wildlife viewing areas where you’ll see penguins, seals and cormorants in their natural habitat.
The scenery is incredible, but it’s the wildlife that steals the show on this fully-guided, small-group tour.
You’ll see:
Keep an eye skyward and you might catch a glimpse of the majestic Royal Albatross – the bird with the world’s largest wingspan.
The journey to Natures Wonders is as stunning as the destination. The drive there takes you over the high road of the Otago Peninsula to Taiaroa Head. Along the way you’ll take in the spectacular views of remote beaches, steep rolling hills, rustic farmhouses and picturesque inlets. You will also stop (photo stop) for a look at Otakou Marae before continuing to your destination.

This tour operates in all weather. It is an outdoor activity in a land where the weather can change rapidly, regardless of the time of year. Waterproof jackets are supplied by Natures Wonders for those taking the Argo upgrade tour.

Reasonable level of fitness required.
The tour includes a short walk to the penguin viewing hide, so a reasonable level of fitness is required for this section. The rest of the tour is by coach.
